Neurotoxin

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

1 week prior to treatment:

 

  • Avoid taking blood-thinning medications for 7 days before the procedure as they may increase the risk of bruising and bleeding. Such drugs include aspirin, ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, Nuprin, Celebrex, including high doses of Vitamin E and Fish oil.
  • Avoid alcoholic drinks 24 hours before treatment to prevent chances of bleeding and bruising.
  • Avoid topical products like retinols, retinoid, glycolic acid, renin-a (tretinoin), or other anti-aging products.

 

DAY OF TREATMENT:

  • Arrive with a clean face (no makeup). You may apply makeup after your treatment as advised by your Registered Nurse Injector.
  • If you suffer from cold sores/fever blister,  take Valtrex day of treatment to prevent an outbreak.

 

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

  • Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area for the first 24 hours after the treatment as this can cause the Botox/Dysport to migrate to other areas and affect the treatment’s results.
  • Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin) for at least 24 hours after the treatment to minimize the risk of bruising.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after the treatment to minimize the risk of swelling and bruising.
  • Avoid lying down for the first two hours after the treatment as this can cause the Botox/Dysport to migrate to other areas and affect the treatment’s results.
  • If a bruise should occur following the treatment, take Arnicare Arnica pellets daily to hasten the recovery of the bruise.
  • Schedule your 7-10 day follow up visit with a front desk associate to ensure that you are pleased with your results.
  • Call our facility if you have concerns at any time related to the treatment

 

Filler

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

2 weeks prior to treatment:

 

  • Avoid immunizations of all kinds prior to treatment to prevent adverse events post-procedure
  • Avoid any dental visits including routine dental cleanings

  • You may begin icing 8 hours post-procedure.
  • If a bruise should occur following the treatment, take Arnicare Arnica pellets daily to hasten the recovery of the bruise.
  • Schedule your 7-10 day follow up visit with a front desk associate to ensure that you are pleased with your results.

Kybella

Pre-Procedure:

  • Avoid alcohol and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen for at least 24 hours prior to the procedure.
  • Avoid having any other cosmetic procedures done in the area to be treated.
  • Stop taking any blood-thinning medications, such as warfarin, before the procedure.
  • Clean the area to be treated thoroughly and remove any makeup or other topical products.

Post-Procedure:

  • Apply an ice pack to the treated area to reduce swelling and discomfort.
  • Avoid vigorous exercise, exposure to sun and heat, and alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
  • Avoid using any topical products, such as creams or lotions, in the treated area for at least 24 hours.

Chemical Peel

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

1 week prior to treatment:

Avoid the following:

  • Electrolysis
  • Waxing
  • Depilatory Creams
  • Laser Hair Removal

3 days before your appointment, please discontinue the use of the following products:

  • Any products containing retinol, alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) or beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), or benzoyl peroxide.
  • Any exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

 

To make the most out of your specific chemical peel treatment, please follow these post-treatment recommendations for your specific peel

 

  • The towelettes included in your post-peel kit provide additional stimulation of the skin and expedite the peeling process.
  • The first towelette should be used 4 hours after your peel has been applied. Subsequent towelettes will be applied at intervals designated in your aftercare booklet. All towelettes should be spaced a minimum of 4 hours apart and all towelettes should be used within the first 48 hours.
  • Discontinue any unused towelettes if you note any peeling within the first 48 hours.
  • Avoid sun exposure during the first week after your peel and throughout the peeling process.
  • You can resume your normal skincare regimen after all your peeling has subsided.

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

2 weeks prior to treatment: 

  • Avoid taking any antibiotics 2 weeks prior to your appointment as these medications can cause photo-sensitivity.

 1 weeks prior to treatment: 

  • Avoid self-tanners and excessive sun exposure

 

24 HOURS PRIOR TO TREATMENT: 

  • Exfoliate and shave entire area that is to be treated- this ensures all energy from the laser is focused on the hair follicle and prevents burnsto the skin.

 

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, swimming in pools, and excessive heat for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
  • You may apply ice to the area if you experience any discomfort. OTC Hydrocortisone cream is recommended for itching.
  • Slight inflammation of hair follicles is common after treatment, this is temporary and will typically disappear in less than 24 hours.

 

  • You may begin exfoliating and shaving the area 48 hours after treatment.
